Backpacking with Grandpa

After a good bit of deliberation over a destination, Grandpa and I attempted a quick trip to Yosemite for some early fall backpacking. What we thought would be mild weather quickly turned into a test of cold weather survival skills. One night of snow and a 16 degree chill was overwhelming motivation to high-tail-it to Big Sur in search for sun and warmth. We did a bit of cabining and filled our days with coastal hikes. It was a memorable trip!
